The Chakra System

The chakra system was developed in the context of the pre-modern Hindu religious tradition. Interestingly,
there are some parallels between the chakra system and the "Tree of Life" in the Jewish Cabalistic System.
This is an interesting example of the symmetry between traditional systems developed in Judaism, the root
religion of the West, and Hinduism, the root religion of the East.
Even more interestingly, the chakra system is of relevance to the contemporary philosophical
mind-body problem and presents interesting parallels with theories of human development current.
